Reputation of the Cambridge University

A lot of words have been already said in favor of the Cambridge University, this article I want to devote to the reputation of the University of Cambridge.

History of the University shows us that this very university has produced and graduated a great number of world-famous scientists such as Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, Ernest Rutherford, Niels Bohr, J.J. Thomson, James D. Watson, Frederick Sanger,  Stephen Hawking, Alan Turing, William Harvey, Jane Goodall, James Clerk Maxwell, Paul Dirac.

The number of different awards the Cambridge University has won is just great, if I start to enumerate them, I will never finish the article, and, however, I would like to mention that Cambridge University occupies the first place in terms of the quantity of Nobel Prizes – 82 pieces and 8 Fields Medals.

Fifteen British Prime Ministers (Robert Walpole, Charles Watson Wentworth, Stanley Baldwin) and twenty-three heads of State were educated within the walls of the University of Cambridge. Moreover, University of Cambridge has always been that one to be chosen by the Royal Family.

In 2001, Cambridge University occupied the first place in terms of its popularity within the country. In 2005, it was reported that Cambridge University produces the greatest quantity of the students with the PhD degree than any other University in England.
