Some Facts about the outstanding University of Cambridge
University of Cambridge is considered to be collegiate university. Its main functions are divided between the central departments of the university and colleges, which reach the figure 31. The division of the functions is as follows: the departments are busy with the different researches and lecturing students; the colleges are busy with the domestic arrangements, and welfare of all the students. Colleges are also providing supervisions.
These 31 colleges have their own autonomic system of governing form the university. They are free to create enrolling rules and all the other domestic matters.
Mainly University of Cambridge concentrates its attention on the scientific sciences, however, at this out-standing university one can also find humanities and some of the social sciences.
The distinctive feature of the University of Cambridge is that at this university a student is not only able to receive theoretical knowledge, but also practical ones. That is the great privilege for the students of the University of Cambridge.
At this University the following world famous scientists were studying: Isaac Newton, , William Harvey, Charles Darwin, Paul Dirac, , Ernest Rutherford, J. J. Thomson, Jane Goodall, , Francis Crick, James Clerk Maxwell, Alan Turing, Fred Sanger and Stephen Hawking.
